Hope Village Concept Design

Awarded AIA Maryland 2022 Excellence in Design, Merit Award, Urban Design & Master Planning

From 2016 through 2021, ARQ Architects worked on a pro bono basis with Christian and Pamela Wilson to develop the concept design for a low cost home-ownership model that would be affordable for housing insecure working families in Baltimore City. Through their tireless efforts, the Wilsons gathered supporters for their project, including from the Baltimore-based developer Mark Sapperstein, Chief Executive Officer of 28 Walker Development, to advance the effort.

From 2021 forward, RM Sovich Architecture has continued to develop the project with 28 Walker Development and the Wilsons, adapting the design concept, obtaining the project permits and preparing for construction, which is slated to begin on fall 2022.
