Deering Pond Conservancy

Established by ARQ partners, Paul Bonacci and Lucy Schlaffer, the Deering Pond Conservancy is working toward placing over twenty acres of sensitive wetlands habitat surrounding Deering Pond into a legal structure that prohibits future development on the property.  A vital resource, small ponds like Deering and their surrounding lands provide essential habitat for a variety of local plant and animal species and help to maintain the ecological health of the coastal areas.
